Download the app now to use the Deposit Cheque feature. Play video Popup window. Close How to pay in cheques with your Mobile Banking app. Select 'Deposit Cheque' from the More tab at the bottom of your screen. Select the account to pay the cheque.
- Yes, the same applies for depositing someone else’s check through an ATM. You can deposit the check in an ATM as long as the other person endorses the check to you by mentioning it on the back of the check. In the computer age, it is entirely possible to deposit the check through an online photo deposit.
- To deposit a check using your smartphone, first go online to enroll in your bank’s program and download their mobile app to your phone. Then, endorse your check by signing your name on the back. Next, log into your account on your bank’s mobile app and select the option for mobile deposit.
- The ‘Deposit History’ tab is a good place to view cheques paid in previously. If a cheque is rejected please do not try to pay it in with the app again – the reason for rejection will be shown in ‘Deposit History’.
- The cheque is in date; The cheque has been signed and dated; The cheque has both the words and figures on the front of the cheque and that these match; That both the sort code and account number is included on the back of the cheque on the right hand side (we will pay the cheque to the account confirmed on the back of the cheque).

Show it a little love with good lighting, a dark background, and a view of all 4 corners. Flip over to the back, make sure you’ve signed the check before taking a picture.
Give us the details of your deposit
Enter the check amount and add a short memo if you'd like.
That’s it — wrap it up.
Give everything one last glance and swipe the Slide To Deposit button to confirm.
